Welcome Message
Dear Friends,
It is our pleasure to welcome all of you to the World Congress of The World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH 2015) in Cairo, Egypt, on 16-19 October 2015.
This Congress is being organized by the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH), The Royal College of Psychiatrists; Middle East Division, The Behman Hospital, Egypt and the Egyptian Society for the Rights of People with Mental Illness.
Many of the countries in the Middle East are facing a period of sociopolitical and economic problems. It will certainly impact mental health in the region. In view of this we selected Cairo as the site of the Congress held on 2015, hoping to provide an opportunity to discuss the subject in depth and to provide support to professionals and carers.
It is, therefore, timely to bring together the very people whose concern is the global rights of those with mental health problems, namely service users, carers, advocates, social workers, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists and all other concerned parties.
We promise to produce a rich scientific, clinical, and practice-based program, with contributions from service users, their families and carers, as well as an interesting introduction to the culture, arts and social life of the local community in Cairo via several social, cultural and artistic events. Cairo is a city with an ancient history; the modern city is equally fascinating and challenging
.

On behalf of all of the organizers, we welcome you all to Egypt in October 2015
